Hi, eikogo here. This blog will speak to issues and tutorials concerning the use of the Python programming language with Microsoft’s HTML Applications (HTA) framework. The occasional Perl, JavaScript, JScript, or even VBScript might slip in, so don’t be surprised. However, Python is what it’s all about, so that will be the primary focus.
I am a programmer/analyst for a local goverment and my customer set is largely Public Safety departments like EMS, Fire, the Sheriff’s Office, the Jail, and Animal Control. I develop applications for these department using ASP, ASP.Net, VB.Net, Python, JavaScript, and the occasional Access Database. My development platform is largely Visual Studio 2003, but I use Dreamweaver to develop the web applications. Frequent use of Photoshop and various text editors, including UltraEdit and EditPlus round out the development tools space. I’m just beginning to work with Python and HTML Applications as a combined development solution.

Hi eikogo!
I had hoped to read a follow up to your page about ActivePython, but the blog seems to have dried up. Have you had the success you had hoped for?
Regards
